A Behind the Scenes Look at TMA’s New Insurance Programs

In an effort to serve members better, TMA Insurance Trust recently introduced auto, homeowners, renters and umbrella insurance for members. We’d like to take you behind the scenes and show you what makes this program such an exciting new benefit for members.

Designed with Members in Mind

These new insurance programs can be accessed through the “Solutions for You” section on the TMA Insurance Trust website which will bring you to a section of the site known as MyLifeProtected, a state of the art insurance shopping experience designed with members in mind.

TMA Insurance Trust understands you have a lot to protect, but very little time to spend combing through every option in the marketplace. Therefore, to make the process as efficient as possible, the site combines the transparency of an online quote engine with the expert guidance of dedicated agents who will customize your coverage to meet your needs and hunt down every possible discount available to you, including the exclusive TMA member discount on select insurance plans.

Convenience and Service, Now You Can Have Both

Texas has no shortage of independent agents selling insurance but let’s face it, you’re working when they’re open. And they’re most likely closed when you’re off. Through the TMA Insurance Trust site, members will have 24/7 access to online quotes backed by a team of agents working extended hours to accommodate your hectic schedule. Agents are available by phone, email and live chat anytime between 7am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.

With multiple vehicles and often multiple homes, physicians have complex insurance needs. Unlike other companies where you call in to a national number and rotate among a pool of phone reps, TMA members will be able to always work with the same agent. Your agent will give you their direct line and personal email address. Whenever you need to follow up on a quote or ask a question, you will always be dealing with the same person, someone who knows who you are, what you have already discussed and where you left off in the process.

Looking Out For Your Best Interests

TMA Insurance Trust recommends members periodically review their coverage to make sure the policy they bought years ago is still the best fit for their needs. Changes in your life may require changes in your coverage. For example, did you recently buy or lease a different car? Has a young driver been added to your policy? Have you recently moved? If so, your auto policy needs updating. Have you made additions or repairs to your home? Have your kids moved out or your parents moved in? These and other changes may mean your homeowners policy needs updating. With this new service, your dedicated agent will stay on top of your situation and take care of any changes you may need.

Most people outside the insurance industry don’t realize just how dynamic the marketplace is. Insurers adjust their rating algorithms constantly. Plan features are added or deleted. New companies who never sold in Texas before may enter the marketplace. Your personal agent is constantly watching the marketplace with your needs in mind. When your policy comes up for renewal, your agent will review all the available options to make sure you are getting the best coverage at the best value. If they see an opportunity for you to save money or improve your coverage, they will reach out to you and let you know. Even if you still have the best rate available, before your plan renews, your personal agent will still reach out to you and confirm your coverage.

Find Out If You’re Leaving Money on the Table

At TMA Insurance Trust, we believe members should have the quality protection they need, but they shouldn’t overpay for it. Due to the constantly changing rate structure in auto and homeowners insurance, many consumers are paying more than they should. A recent survey by the financial website NerdWallet shows that American drivers are overpaying an average of $368 a year for car insurance. Are you overpaying? TMA Insurance Trust has made it easy to find out. Use our free, new, no-obligation quote service, MyLifeProtected, and find out how much you can save.

New Call-to-action

For over 60 years, TMA Insurance Trust advisors have been serving Texas physicians, their families and staff. TMA Insurance Trust prides itself on offering unbiased information and strategies to members, along with exclusive group rates on a range of the highest-rated plans in the industry.
