- Does the plan allow you to go to the dentist of your choice?
- Does the plan cover preventive and diagnostic treatments? It’s important to get regular checkups so minor dental problems don’t turn into major ones.
- Are both basic dental work (fillings, tooth extractions, etc.) and major dental work (crowns, bridgework, etc.) covered under the plan?
- How much of the cost of each procedure does the plan actually cover?
- What is the maximum annual benefit?
Our Advisors can help you determine if the TMAIT Dental Plan is right for you and your family.
The TMAIT Dental Plan covers:
- 100 percent of the costs of preventive and diagnostic procedures.
- 80 percent of the costs of minor restorative, endodontic, periodontic, and oral surgery.
- 50 percent of the costs of all other allowed procedures.
- $1,000 calendar year maximum (not including orthodontic services).
- Annual deductible of $50 per person per calendar year, $150 per family. Deductible does not apply to preventive, diagnostic, or orthodontic services.
- Orthodontic diagnostic procedures and treatment for dependent children under age 19. Benefits are paid at 50 percent, not to exceed a lifetime maximum of $1,000.
- Those insured must satisfy a 12-month probationary period before procedures and services in the following categories will be covered: major restorative, periodontics, prosthetics, and orthodontics. All other services are covered immediately.
