All Exclusive Insurance Offers

Soon-to-be graduates can choose to continue the benefits below on an individual basis with guaranteed acceptance. No underwriting required. Offer available for 60 days after graduation.

  • Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance: You may elect a benefit amount up to $5,000/month. Includes Catastrophic Disability benefit & Future Insurability option, which allows you to purchase an additional $5,000/month of coverage prior to age 45 without providing evidence of good health. 

  • Member Term Life Insurance: You may enroll in up to $200,000 coverage amount. Spouses are eligible for up to 50% of your coverage amount. Children are eligible for up to $10,000 coverage amount without proof of good health. Includes optional Premium Waiver benefit.

  • Personal Accident Insurance: You can enroll in up to $1,000,000 coverage amount, a spouse can enroll in up to $500,000 coverage amount, and child(ren) can enroll in up to $30,000 coverage amount.

  • Business Overhead Expense Insurance: You are able to purchase a $5,000 monthly benefit.

The plans listed above are portable, even if you leave Texas. Subject to payment of premiums & maintenance of Texas Medical Association (TMA) membership, you may retain coverage as follows:

  • Term Life coverage at 100% to age 75, then reduces to 10% of the benefit.

  • LTD coverage may be continued until Social Security Normal Retirement Age.

  • The LTD plan's Future Insurability option is subject to amount limitations based on earnings and/or other coverage & is subject to the overall plan maximum. The offer expires at age 45.

  • The Life, Business Overhead, and LTD insurance plans include a waiver of premium benefit (i.e. premiums are paid in the event you become totally & permanently disabled).

  • Members have access to a “jury of their peers” in the event of claim or underwriting disputes. The Advisory Committee who will hear your appeal is composed of TMA member physicians from across the state representing a variety of specialties.

  • Premiums for member insurance plans are based on the experience of the entire plan. So, members & their dependents will not be singled out for a future rate increase based solely on individual claim experience.
