Health Insurance

All Open Enrollment quote requests must be submitted by Wednesday, December 11th in order to process your enrollment before the deadline.

Are You Getting What You're Paying For?

When you consider the cost you pay for health insurance and the service you receive, ask yourself this question: Am I getting what I'm paying for? If your answer is “No”, it may be time to get a second opinion.

Our attentive, year-round support is one reason over 800 medical practices across Texas look to TMA Insurance Trust for their group health insurance needs.

PPO Health Insurance for Solo Practice Owners

If you are a solo or small practice owner, with the assistance of TMA Insurance Trust, you may be able to access limited-time special options that could allow you to get PPO health insurance as a "group of one" for just yourself and your family.

Your employees could also receive this coverage, but the practice will not be required to pay for their coverage. Even if none of the employees take the coverage, you can enroll in the group PPO plan.

To qualify for “group of one” coverage you must:

  • Own a medical practice
  • Have a tax ID number
  • Have one employee other than yourself

If you qualify for this “group of one” PPO option, please complete the Group Quote Request Form.

A Special Option For Partnerships

Partners filing as a partnership with no employees may also be eligible for group coverage for themselves and their families. To qualify, a physician needs to provide partnership documentation and either the company's SS4 or the most recently filed Schedule K-1 (form 1065). If this is your situation, please select the Medical Group - Partners Only option on the submission form.

When A Physician And Spouse Work Together

Do you own, or want to start, a business with your spouse? If so, we may be able to qualify your business for group coverage even without partnership documentation. If this is your situation, select the "Medical Group - Partners Only or Physician & Spouse" option on the form above.

Supporting Your Practice Year-Round

TMA Insurance Trust will take the time to understand your needs, research the options, and help you choose a plan. Our services extend even further and include enrolling your staff and dependents, cancelling employees if they leave your office, distributing temporary ID cards and policy information, assisting with billing, as well as advocating for you throughout the year if claims or customer service issues arise. All these added services are provided at no extra cost to you or your practice.
