Why Your Health Insurance May Need a Boost
Member Alert: Help fill the gap in your health insurance due to high deductibles and copays, and limits to your coverage associated with a serious illness.
Guaranteed acceptance for $20,000 of TMA Member Critical Illness Insurance and $10,000 for spouse - No questions asked.*
You have worked hard to become financially secure. But a serious illness could quickly wreak havoc on your finances. Critical illness insurance, when combined with health insurance, can help protect you from financial hardship when a critical illness happens.
Critical illness insurance, also known as critical illness coverage, can help eliminate some of the financial stress during an illness. Members under age 65 are eligible to enroll for $20,000 of coverage with guaranteed acceptance, and up to a maximum amount of $250,000. If you are diagnosed with one of the conditions covered by the plan, you can receive your benefit from the TMA Member Critical Illness Plan issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America.
The Plan provides TMA members under the age of 65 a cash benefit to supplement your existing medical insurance and is usable in any way you choose, including to offset deductibles or copays, prescriptions, travel to treatment centers, or you could just use it to help pay off other bills and household expenses. Whatever bills you have to pay, you can use your benefit to help cover any medical and non-medical expenses.
TMA members under age 65 can enroll for $20,000 of coverage with guaranteed acceptance. Members can enroll in TMA Member Critical Illness coverage at any time online. To get started, click below.
Critical illness insurance is like a supplement to your rainy day fund that can help preserve your savings and stretch your budget during a serious illness. The Plan may help bring added peace of mind when added to your portfolio of insurance protection for you and your family. TMA Insurance Trust recommends you also think about long term disability insurance. While critical illness insurance will give you a lump sum of money for your covered illness or illness-related disability, long term disability insurance will provide an ongoing monthly income while you’re recovering.
TMA Insurance Trust advisors can walk you through your options to help you determine the right coverage that best suits your individual needs.
