TMA Members: Get Help Paying for Hospital Bills

Picture the scene. A couple is joyously awaiting the birth of their first child. As the weeks pass, excitement begins to build as they set up the nursery and start making lists of baby names. But underneath the thrill of being first time parents, financial worries begin to creep in. Hospital bills loom large on the horizon. How much will the health insurance policy cover? How much will the out-of-pocket costs be?

Hospital Stays Strain Even the Healthiest Budget

With today’s high deductible health plans, even a short stay in the hospital can have a major impact on your finances. High deductible plans are popular because the monthly premiums can be significantly lower than other plans. But true to their name, the deductibles are often so high they can strain even the healthiest budget.

Help Fill in the Gaps. Eliminate the Worry.

TMA Insurance Trust understands that being hospitalized is stressful enough without worrying about bills piling up back home. That’s why we want you to know that any TMA member under age 65 is entitled to supplemental hospital insurance to help fill the gaps in your employer or individual health insurance. The plan pays you a daily cash benefit that can be used to help pay for deductibles, copays, prescriptions, and other expenses.

If you are a TMA member over age 65, talk to one of our advisors about how to supplement your Medicare benefits and protect yourself from out of pocket costs.
